On April 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in room 5, as part of the Environmental Hydraulics course (Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering curriculum - Bari) and the Environmental and Territorial Hydraulics course (Second-level Master's Degree in Territorial and Environmental Planning), both taught by Prof. Michele Mossa, Prof. Lucas Enrique Calvo Gobbetti from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá will hold a seminar titled Hydraulic Aspects and Environmental Issues of the Panama Canal. During the seminar, the history of the Panama Canal will be briefly presented, along with some elements of the design of the hydraulic system of the new locks and the environmental problems associated with this major strategic project.
