The Modelling Camp, a summer school organized by the Fluid Mechanics group of the Gii – Italian Hydraulics Group, was held in Cagliari from September 2nd to 6th.
PhD students were divided into groups based on their choices, tackling various topics with the goal of developing a physical-mathematical model under the guidance of the course supervisors: Stefano Lanzoni (UniPD), Michele La Rocca (UniRM3), Pier Giuseppe Ledda (UniCA), Michele Mossa (PoliBA), Rodolfo Repetto (UniGE), Marco Tubino (UniTN), Giorgio Querzoli (UniCA).
The proposed topics were:
A) Title: Microplastic in porous media (La Rocca) B) Title: Applications of fluid mechanics to ocean waves and currents (Mossa) C) Title: Mathematical modelling of cyst formation in macular oedema (Repetto) D) Title: Morphodynamical trajectories of fluvial systems driven by anthropic and climatic stressors (Tubino-Lanzoni)
