UNESCO - TRANSDISCIPLINARY ECOHYDROLOGY SCIENTIFIC FRAMEWORK FOR COST EFFICIENT, ADVANCED NATURE BASED SOLUTIONS

Side Event on the 26th Session of the IHP Council (UNESCO HQ, Paris)

Invitation by prof. Maciej Zalewski

Dear Professor Mossa
I am glad to inform you that my proposition for a Side Event “Transdisciplinary Ecohydrology scientific framework for Cost Efficient, Advanced Nature Based Solutions” during the 26th session of the IHP Council (3-7 June) was excepted by the organizing committee to be held on June 3rd, in Room X (UNESCO HQ, Paris).

Given our long time cooperation in the framework of UNESCO IHP, I would like to invite you to partake in the discussion on how Ecohydrology provides the profound scientific background for developing cost efficient, advanced NbS during the Event. As your experience will be most valuable to share, I would be grateful if you could give an introductory speech on the Event and following session in IAHR about potential synergies between hydroengineering, hydroecology/ecohydrology and advanced Nature Based Solutions.

Best regards

Maciej
